Giants go up 1-0 in the best of 3 games series behind a great pitching performance by Nick Panzini and Will Conaton. The Giants bats woke up late in the game with some clutch at-bats at the bottom of the lineup with Dave Giarrusso and Mike Roberts hitting rbi singles in the 5th. Eric Baca hit a solo dinger in the top of the 6th to give the giants a little extra cushion for Will "La Flama Blaca Contern" Conaton to lock down his first career CABL save. On the other side, the mustangs played a very clean game defensively and Nick Godfroy worked his tail off on the mound in a muggy night in Methuen. He held the giants at bay all night until the 4 run - 5th. The stangs came back to capitilize on some giants misques and timely hiting in bottom 5 with 3 runs. Overall, great game - Back at it thursday night at Fraser for game 2 of the series
