Southpaw rookie Will Leineweber goes the distance allowing just 2 hits while striking out 6. Game cruised until the 4th where both teams had their first true chance to score. But as the Cutters leave 2 men on in the top half of the inning, the A's would do the same, both miss chances. The fifth would prove to be different as Rob Macdonald triples in 2 runs. Again, in the bottom half, the A's try to do the same and load the bases with 2 outs and could not plate a run.
