Pepperell Red Dogs 2, Waltham Nationals 1
The Red Dogs improved to 5-3 on the season after a hard fought game against the Nationals in Waltham by a score of 2-1. Jeff Tully pitched a stellar game, getting some key defensive plays when he needed it most, including two much needed double plays at key points in the game when the Nationals were threatening.
The Red Dog offense was once again led by Jimmy Stecchi, who was 2-4 on the day, including the eventual game winning RBI single in the 4th.
The Red Dogs look to carry the momentum from this win into their huge doubleheader with the Giants in two weeks at Breed. |
