A's TAKE GAME 1 The A's took Game 1 from the O's behind some timely hitting and the strong right arm of Brendan Huber. He finished with just one earned run over 5 hits, and he struck out 9 batters in the winning effort. The O's struck first. Souffrant hit a leadoff triple, and later scored on a Bartlett single. The A's got a run back in the 2nd on a failed pickoff attempt. 1-1 after 2. The Orioles took the lead again in the 5th. Derochea reached on an error. He rounded the bases and ultimately scored on a Rodriguez single. The A's struck right back. Billig and Donaruma led off with singles. They scored on a Clarke single, which proved to be the winning RBIs. Clarke scored an insurance run on a Vadala walk. 4-2 A's after 5. The A's tacked on some insurance in the 6th, plating 5 runs on a series of hits and defensive miscues. Huber then shut the O's down 1-2-3 in the 7th for the complete game victory. Game 2 i
