The Marlins got their customary solid outing from Neil Doherty (W, 5IP, 4H, 2ER) and turned two more double plays (now 15 on the season) in topping the Orioles 12-4 at lovely Bedford High. The Marlin offense, which had been MIA for much of the season as the team had limped to a .223 batting average coming into the game, finally had a breakout afternoon. Five Marlins had multihit games, including Paul Bracco (3-4, 2R, 2SB), Chris Ryan (2-3, 3R, SB), Davin Wilfrid (2-4, R), Andy Herr (2-3, R, RBI) and Matt King (2-4, R, 2RBI). Al Cacciatore, Jay Thomas and Matt Udell all collected 2 hits apiece for the O's.
