The A's sweep the DH and improve to 13-7. The A's put up 3 in the first and never looked back, taking advantage of Cutters miscues in their second game of the day. Alan Donaruma was the offensive player of the day for the A's, going 5-8 on the day with 3 runs. Pat Vetter caught both ends of the DH, going 2-6, and Brett O'Keefe went 2-6 on the day and played sparkling defense in the field. Also for the A's, Nick Tapper provided comic relief on the bench and in the field by making obscure references and patrolling right field with ease. Jason Kurtz "popped" his hamstring by simply being old. This did not, however break his spirit, as he continued to provide his wisdom to the team's young players throughout the game.
