A's BEAT SPINNERS IN TIGHT GAME GUISADO THROWS A GEM Late-arriving fans missed the only runs of this early-morning contest. Alan Donaruma led off with a walk and scored on a Nick Tapper double off the left field wall. Taking a cue from the veteran, young Rathapoom Asdornvuttikrai laced his own double off the wall to plate Tapper. That was all the offense the A's needed. Angelo Guisado picked up his league-leading fifth win, carrying a no-no into the sixth inning. He struck out five Spinners and yielded just three hits. Guisado out-dueled the Spinners' Dan Wilson, who pitched well in his own right. After the two-run first, Wilson kept the A's off the board, with the help of an outfield assist by center fielder Mike Knell. The Spinners play the Padres next weekend. The A's take on the Cutters tomorrow night to wrap up their three-game weekend road trip.
