Spinners 13, Brewers 2
After a forgettable game against the White Sox, Cambridge got back on track Sunday against the Brewers. Sunday didn't start off as hoped as the Brewers scored 2 runs with 2 outs, on hits by VanReenen and Fernandez. Spinners would answer back in the bottom half of the inning with 1 run. 2 runs is all the Brewers would get as Henkel settled down and pitched 5 solid innings.
Spinners broke the game open early. In the 2nd after a series of walks, Killeran blasted a triple clearing the bases. Killeran finished the day 2-3 (1bb, double, triple, 5 rbi). Cambridge added 2 more in the 3rd and 3 in the 5th.
Henkel improves to 3-0 as the Spinners capitalize on the Brewers pitching that struggled today. |
