Spinners win a wild 9 inning game against a tough Brewers team. This was a back and forth game from the start. The Brewers would go ahead but the Spinners would keep answering back. Skip to the 7th inning; up 1 run, the Spinners were down to their final out. With a runner on 2nd and 2 strikes Ciano hit a ball with eyes that took a nasty hop over the SS shoulder, scoring the tying run. In the bottom half of the 7th rookie S.Mattina entered the game hoping to give the Spinners one more chance. It didn't start off well for Mattina who let up a triple to the lead off batter. He settled down though, striking out the next 2 and getting a 5-3 ground ball. In the top of 9th with 1 out and men on 2nd/3rd Ciano stepped up again, hitting a chopper over the 3rd baseman's head scoring the go ahead run. Killeron would add one more on a sac fly.
