McKay Club Beacons 2, Savin Hill Hornets 1
Nothing has come easy for Tom Fitzpatrick & the McKay Club in 2012. They have to EARN every win in this “dog fight†of a season. Savin Hill does not have a very good record --- BUT – they have a good team. This sunny day at McConnell Park brought two young aces against each other in a tremendous 7 inning battle. Michael Isaia was perfect on the season with a 2-0 record. Fitzy celebrated his first win last Sunday over Al Thomas. His mates only produced 2 runs as they did against the A’s last week. But, that was enough for a Beacon 2-1 win.
Isaia pitched 4 no hit innings and was a victim of an unearned run in the 3rd.
Brian Mylett was hit by a pitch in that 3rd stanza then stole 2nd base. Ryan Carrier reached in an error. RBI machine (7) Dylan Perez reached on a fielder’s choice to plate Mylette.
The Beacons would get their 2 hits in the 6th. Perez singled with one out stole 2nd then came home on a smash up the middle |
