Tom Hague pitched his second complete game victory in as many starts for the Giants. 3 runs in the top of the first put the Giants in the lead to stay, but not without a battle. The Indians had the tying run on base or at the plate numerous times, but strong all around play from the Giants, kept them at bay, right up to the last play. With the tying run at the plate, Hague fielded a comebacker, starting a double play to end the game.
