Three Marlin pitchers combined on a two hitter and the Fish snapped a three game losing streak with the 9-3 win at East Boston.
Every Marlin starter reached base in the game, and the balanced attack was led by Hiro Nakamura (2 - 3, 2 RBI, 2 SB), Josh Misiph (2 - 3, 3 RBI) and Paul Bracco (2 - 3, HBP). Bracco also collected two outfield assists, and has to be near the top in the league with 7 so far this season.
Neil Doherty earned his 3rd win of the season, coming on in relief of Joe Montoya in the 4th and pitching 3 solid innings after going 5 last night. Chris Ryan closed out the Reds in the 7th to seal the victory.
Former Marlin Joe Dunne led the Reds with a single, walk and a pair of stolen bases on the afternoon. |
