Reading broke open a tie game in the 6th on a two run double by Alex Fisher followed by a run scoring double by Mike Taylor. Doubles by Nick Conti and Bill Cataldo in the 7th lead to two more runs which provided the Bulldogs with a safe cushion. Conti was on base 4 times scoring three runs and Cataldo had three hits for the Bulldogs. Nick Kelley won his second game of the year, striking out 6 and allowing only two hits that reached the outfield in a five inning stint. Chris Salvati and Joe Sheehan both had two hits for the Americans and losing pitcher Dan Gilchrist struck out nine batters in five plus innings pitched.
