The White Sox catcher was ejected in the 10th inning giving the Reds a forfeit victory. Below are the results of the exhibition that followed where the White Sox won 7-6 in dramatic fashion.
Anthony Tomaro's walk-off double sends to White Sox to an extra inning victory.
It was quite a remarkable game, as the Reds came back, down 4-2 in the 7th, to tie the score thanks to some timely singles by Erik Almonte, Geoff Fay and Matt Bloomer.
In the 9th, the Reds took a 5-4 lead, but the Sox tied the score at 5-5 when Anthony Tomaro doubled, stole 3rd and scored.
In the 10th, the Reds took a 6-5 lead. This time, the Sox came back and won it when Matt LoPresti walked, Ivan Clemente singled and Anthony Tomaro doubled them both home.
Andrew Hubbard pitched 6 strong for the Sox, allowing 3 hits and no earned runs. Chris Stone made his first mound appearance since May 5th. Matt Smith got some work and Matt LoPresti finally got the win |
