The Mariners and Cutters picked up where they left off in the 2006 Atlantic Conference semi-finals, locked into a nail-biter that was decided in the last half inning. With the score tied 2-2, and with 1 out and a Mariner runner on third in the bottom of the seventh, the M's Jay LaPointe singled through a drawn-in infield to plate the winning run. Both starting pitchers, the Cutters' Mike DiCicco and the Mariners' Pat Walters, pitched very well in this close contest. The M's Paul Schoeneck ultimately picked up the victory, his first career MABL win. Offensively, Jay LaPointe (GWRBI) and Steve VanReenen picked up run scoring singles. The Cutters' Chris Santosuosso hit a triple to deep right-center, scoring on a throwing error.
