The game was an outstanding pitchers duel that remained scoreless until the bottom of the 6th. Kevin Brennan of the O's and Joe Perna of the Mariners kept putting zeroes on the board until Jay Thomas plated Ivan Campos with a clutch two-out single to push the Orioles ahead 1-0. In the 7th, the Mariners fought back valiantly, rallying to chase Brennan from the game and stake themselves to a 2-1 lead. Ronnie Maddrey stopped the bleeding for the O's by throwing out at the plate what would have been the 3rd Mariner run. In the home half of the 7th, the Orioles were not to be denied, loading the bases with only one out. Ryan Bere laid down a perfect squeeze bunt to tie the game, and Andy Murachver followed with an infield single to give the Birds a walkoff win. Elliott Bourdier came out of the pen to pick up the W in his MABL debut.
