The Tigers clawed the Orioles to death up at Haverhill Stadium, thanks to some team-wide hitting, and another outstanding pitching performance from Rich Wlodarczyzyxk. Matt Giblin had a perfect day at the plate (3-3, 2R, RBI, BB), and in the field (5 Assists). Scott Stevens stayed hot with a 3B and 2RBIs, while Nate Pane had the other multi-hit game (2-4, 2R, SB). The Orioles kept it close in the beginning, but Earl Murphy launched one 600 ft, and strolled comfortably into second with a double in the 5th. Despite not scoring, this was a precursor of things to come, as the Tigers batted around in the 6th, capped off by Justin West's first hit and RBIs of the season.
