In a great pitched game by both sides, Nate Pane (3-1) of the White Sox outdueled Brian Caccavale (0-3) and the Marlins. The White Sox struck first when Al Wiesner led off the game HBP and then Kyle Michaud walked. In a double-steal attemp, Wiesner was out at 3rd, but Michaud found himself at secondbase. Will Bissonnette then tripled to drive in Michaud. Score, 1-0. The Marlins tied the score in the 3rd inning when Pat Allen was HBP and later scored on a Paul Bracco sac fly to deep centerfield. Score, 1-1. In the bottom of the 3rd, the Sox took a lead they would not relinquish when Kyle Michaud doubled to lead off the inning and then Bissonnette walked. Singles by Jason Hoye and Ryan Gray scored Michaud and Biss to make the score 3-1. As the rains came, a diving play by Kyle Michaud spun for a double play closed the final two outs of the 7th.
