Doherty and Defense led the Marlins to victory over the White Sox Monday night at Chelsea High. Despite donning a complete uniform, The Chancellor had his best stuff going, scattering four singles and allowing only an unearned run over the first six innings before finally running into trouble in the seventh. Offensively, the Fish got all they needed in the five run fifth when Tim Sheflin and Andy Katz delivered back-to-back two out, two run base hits. The balanced attack saw seven different Fish score a run. The D did the rest of the work in support of Doherty, and ended the game when a Steve Mellor-Mike Mori relay throw gunned down a run at the plate. Jason Skypeck turned in a nice performance for the Fish, going 1-2 with an RBI, HBP, and a run scored, and also gunned down a would-be basestealer in the third.
