Chris Allen battled the heat for his third. Allen pitched the complete game giving up three. He was matched by Neil Doherty who pitched well in defeat. Anthony Leoneli threw well in relief also for the Marlins. Mike Knell started the Reds offense with an RBI triple in the second. He finished the scoring for the Reds by driving in Chris Chase (double) in the fifth for the winning run on a sacrifice fly. Derek Garabedian and Joe Dunne both had multiple hit games.
