Eric Harvey earned his and the Astros first win by throwing his second complete game of the season. He struck out nine and did not surrender a free pass while scattering seven hits and pitching around four errors. Dan Petro was handed his first career MABL loss despite striking out nine 'stros in his complete game effort. Jaime Manciocchi delivered a big two run single in the second which put the Astros up for good. It was made possible after a deft sacrafice bunt by Cory Edgar to move Jon Mayes and Ron Viola into scoring position. In the top of the fifth, James Clarahan gunned down the tying run at the plate from left field. Josue Feliciano, Dan Gomes, and Petro each drove in a run for the Dodgers.
