Carlson 6, Boston Padres 5
The Carslon Club draws first blood with a victory in what was a very exciting game one. The Padres scored two runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning but Carlson responded quickly with 3 runs in the top of the 4th. After a leadoff single by D-Ro and a double by Malaret, Jarol Gonzalez came to the plate and delivered a line drive to right center to drive in two runs.
The Carlson Club was leading 6-2 going into the bottom of the 7th but the Padres would not go quietly. They scored 3 runs and got the tying run to 3rd base with two outs but veteran lefty Pablo Reyes came in to shut the door and earn the save. |
