The Reds win their first Championship behind the arm of Sean Magee. The Whitesox scored first in the second inning. From their, the Reds scored two, and then added four more in the seventh.

Steve Corda goes the distance as the Reds take a 2-0 lead in the series over Dave Martin and the White Sox.

The Reds scored 2 in the first on a Tony Ramos sac fly and Sean Magee single. In the second Brett Nowlin scored from third on a double steal. The Reds added one in the 3rd, and then one in the 5th on a bases loaded walk.

On the mound, Corda was outstanding scattering few hits, and benefiting from strong defense, including a 4-3 double play off a line drive by Martin to get out of a jam in the 6th.

The Reds took a 1-0 lead in the third inning when Chris Allen scored following back to back singles by Brett Nowlin and Derek Garabedian. In the top of the 6th, Nowlin (2-2,BB) singled and came around to score on a Mike Knell triple. Steve Corda then lined a single to center to drive in Knell. The White Sox tied the score in the bottom half when Allen struggled with his control and the Sox pieced together a couple of hits. In the top of the 7th Magee reached on an error, Ciano followed with a single to left, Nowlin walked and Garabedian was HBP to push across the winning run. For the sox Chris Stone threw 6+. Allen threw 1 hit ball into the sixth before yielding to Magee for the balance of the sixth and seventh.

Sean Magee went the distance to lead the Reds to their second consecutive appearance in the finals. Offensively, Mike Ciano led the Reds with 4 big hits. More details to come later. Congratulations to the Indians on a tremendous season, to Manager of the Year Nick Bondola, and to the numerous players receiving well-deserved votes in this year's awards.

The Indians blasted their way back into the series with a big 9-3 win over the Reds. Jeff James was at the top of his game on the mound, picking up the complete game victory. Up 6-3 with two on and one out in the fifth, James showed some veteran poise inducing Steve Corda into a fly ball out (after falling behind 3-0) and then striking out Ramos to get out of the jam.

Mike Kiely and Greg Bennett provided most of the offense for the Indians as they both had 2 hits and 3 RBI. Pete John knocked in two of the three runs for the Reds with a triple, and Tony Ramos played outstanding D behind the plate, throwing out 3 would-be base stealers.

Chris Allen led the Reds to a huge victory over the Indians. Allen pitched the complete game, while also showing his catlike reflexes defensively on the mound. The Reds infield also helped out with some huge plays to get out of jams against a potent tribe lineup.

Daryl Pina had a gutsy performance on the mound, pitching on 2 days rest.

The Reds offense was led by Steve Corda who notched four hits total while driving in a few.

Steve Corda picks up the win on the mound, homers to center and drove in three with a total of 3 hits.

The Dodgers scored 4 in the first 4 frames led by Josue Feliciano who singled walked twice and stole three bases scoring twice.

As they did the night before the Reds battled back with timely hits. Corda was joined by Derek Garabedian 3 hits, 1R. Pete John 2B, 1B, 2RBIs, 2Runs. Sean Magee 2 hits, 2 RBIs,1R. Tony Ramos 2 hits, 1 RBI and Brett Nowlin 2 hits 1R.

Wil Rosado took the loss and picked up 2 hits while scoring once at the plate. John Pollard also had two hits.

Congrats to the Dodgers on a great 2006 season.

Neil Doherty and Sean MaGee both went the distance in a 10 inning Marlin victory. After Mike Ciano singled home the tying run in the sixth, MaGee and Doherty each pitched their way out of trouble in extra frames. Doherty squeeked out of a bases loaded, none out situation in the 7th and MaGee clamped down with a runner on third with no out in the top of the 8th.

Paul Bracco (2-4, 2RBI) was once again the hero for the Fish, doubling home Chris Dutton (2-4, 2 runs) in the top half of the 10th. Other big contributors were Dav Wilfrid (2RBI) and catcher Mike Desanto, who caught all ten innings for the Teal.

In a battle of great pitching, the Marlins edged the Reds 2-1 on Sunday afternoon.

The Marlins did all their damage in the first two frames. Andy Katz led off the game with a single, and scored on a Mike Mori grounder. The Marlins made it 2-0 in the 2nd inning on a Karl Cyr RBI single.

Chris Allen retired the next 12 Marlins hitters. The Reds added 1 run in the 6th inning, but Kevin Brennan shut the door in the 7th to secure the victory for the Fish.

The Marlins have won 5 straight games, and 9 of their last 11.

Brennan gets 3 inning save; Allen pitches well for Reds.
