Kevin Locke picked up the win giving up only 2 hits and a run in 8 innings. Brian Spadafino had 8 assists while going 3-3 at the plate with a walk.

Frank Kowalski was a homer shy of the cycle and Locke also had 3 hits and 3 rbis.

What started out as a slugfest turned into a pitcher's duel with Wayland prevailing with a run in the 10th on consecutive hits by Kevin Locke, Joe Calderella, and Bill Carlezon.

Sean O'Connor picked up the win in relief of Kevin Locke. Tom Manning went all 10 for Malden but was stung by a couple costly errors behind him.

Carlezon Knocks in Winning Run in 10th.

John Blaine and Dickie Pacino locked horns in a 1-1 game but neither got the decision as it went into extra innings. The Knights got the winning run off of Ramon Antiqua after a Doug Flutie walk, Bill Flutie single, and a Steve Ryan bunt that the Sox threw away. Doug also scored the Knights first run after leading off with a double and Bill knocking him in with a single.

Jon Churchill and Steve Wolf had two hits for the Sox.

Mike Caccavelli got the with one inning of relief.

Ramon Antiqua goes the distance holding the Indians scoreless until a fierce comeback attempt in the 7th. Antiqua also went 2-3, knocking in the eventual winning run in the 6th. Kevin Locke was 2-3 with a 2-run double.

Chris Seitz went the distance for Brockton and Derek Salamone, Stephen Scibetta, and Paul Scioscia had two hits a piece.

Sox fight back from two deficits capped with a 4 run 7th to down a tough Thunder team. Kevin Locke went the distance and contributed 2 hits and a big rbi. Frank Kowalski and Ramon Antiqua were both 3-4 with 3 RBIs.

Game featured a triple play started by Eduardo Marcano stabbing a line drive up the middle and tripling up the man on 2nd and 1st.

Paul Laurin pitch well for the Thunder and contributed a 2-run bomb to help his cause.

In another well played game, Sox win it again in their last at bat on a base hit by Al Visnick scoring Bill Carlezon who led off the inning with a double. Carlezon also picked up the win in relief of Ramon Antiqua, pitching two scoreless innings and striking out 3.

Bob Tarantino took the loss for the Brewers who were led by Steve Ponte's 3-4 (5-7 on the day).

Sox win game one in extra innings on a base hit by Joe Calderella that plated the winning run in the 8th. Dickie Pacino got the win in relief of Kevin Locke. Jason Kurtz took the tough loss going the distance in scorching heat.

Game Two featured an offensive explosion for the Tides and probably our best pitching performance of the year, by our right fielder. Thom "My Head still Kind of Hurts" Holdgate working on 13 months rest threw what I think was a 92 pitch (85 of which were fastballs), five hit shutout. I later rewarded him for his effort by injuring him at 2:00 am in the morning. The offense was paced by Rob Monti who hit a homerun, in his fifth at bat of the season prompting all of the regular hitters in the dugout to promise to quit after the game. Tony Aderlonis had four hits and two rbi's and Miggy, Forte, Keefa, Monti all had two hits a piece. There were a million stories and even more good times from the weekend. Thanks to Wolfie and Sox for an awesome time. Thank you to my guys for making the baseaball as fun as the nightlife.

The experience of the weekend, baseball wise, was summed up by Danny O'Brien early in the sixth inning when he was overheard in the dugout saying "This is one of the three best days of my life." OB led the Tides with three hits, Greg "What team do you play for" Forte had two hits and caught all 18 innings and he was awarded the player of the weekend by Monti who first introduced himself to Forte. Monti was stellar in his first appearance coming off shoulder surgery and Tony "The only guy to bring his girlfriend" Anderlonis was a stud in relief. Quote of the day awarded to Phil "The Cooperstown ladies love him" Banks who said while telling one of his stories "The thing was going 6 G's, I don't know what that means but it sure sounds like alot." Miggy "Iggy definately tried to spoon me" Miranda hit an absolute bomb which was the difference maker in the game. On a related note Miggy has asked Iggy to sleep with him before every game.

Sean O'Connor kept a tough Natick team off balance all game while recording his first win of the season. Eric Kimble was 2-3, 3B, 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored to lead the Sox. Ramon Antiqua was 3-4, 2 rbis and his 5th double of the season. Kevin Moore extended his streak of 19 straight years of playing in the Boston MSBL.

The Knights were led by Doug Flutie who was 2-4, 2R, and Chris Forte who was 2-3, 2R.

A well played game by both teams. Waltham came up with key defensive plays throughout the game and Tom Dowey did an excellent job of keeping Wayland hitters off balance.

Waltham's sluggish bats finally started to awaken in the 8th inning and they regained the lead after Wayland tied the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the 7th with a few key hits of their own.

Waltham posted 3 more runs in the top of the 9th to seal the victory.

Ramon Antiqua pitched a complete game victory as the WSox defeated the RSox at Nipper. The WSox broke open a 2-2 tie in the 8th when a costly RSox error allowed two WSox runs to score. Antiqua then worked out of a bases loaded jam in the bottom of the eighth to secure the victory.

Brian Spadafino and Kevin Locke both had 2 hits and 2 runs for the WSox. Chris Rogers was 2-3 with a 2B and Andy Whigham had 3 singles and both RBIs for the RSox.

Dan Pill pitched seven impressive innings for Waltham giving up 2 runs on 5 hits.

Antiqua wins first of the season

A classic Opening Day pitcher's duel between Paul Lauren and Kevin Locke. Thunder held a one run lead into the bottom half of the eighth. Dickie Pacino led off with a single, moved to second on an error, and scored the tying run on a 2-out double by Mike Ganley. Ramon Antiqua then connected on a 2R HR to put the Sox ahead for good.

Todd Thompson had 3 hits and Ted Maravelias had two hits an RBI and a run for the Thunder.

Ganley's 2 out double ties it, Antiqua's HR wins it.
