After the Dodgers had the lead 4 - 1 in the top of the 3rd inning, the Padres woke up to support a strong pitching performance from the rookie Victor Jorge who stroke out 16 hitters out of the 21 outs he needed to earn his 6th straight win, Jorge just finished his regular season leading the league with 72 strikeouts in 43.2 innings of work in his first season in the BMBL.

Roberto Terrero had a great night at the plate connecting 3 hits, Luis Caro continue hot with another multi-hit game and Marcos Reyes with the important go ahead 2-RBI single in the bottom of the six inning to help the padres maintain the great second half of the season who have won 10 of the last 12 games.

Another great game for Julio Gonzalez and the padres who scored 6 runs in the first inning repeating what they did early today vs the Grays, Gonzalez worked a complete game allowing only 3 hits while striking-out 9 to get his 2nd win of the season, Gonzales also had a great day at the plate going 2-for-3 with 4 RBI to guide the padres to their 5th win in a row.

Yeyson Frias, Roberto Terrero and Juan Williams connected a pair of hits each to support Gonzalez on the victory over the Reds.

The Padres took the early lead and never looked back, Carlos Osorio got a lot of offensive support to get his 4th win of the season.

the padres offensive were lead by Roberto Terrero, Luis Caro, Smearlyn TUBO Acevedo and John Wehner who had multi hit game and Jayson Frias came in big connecting a triple with the bases loaded on the top of the 6th inning and drove in a total of 4 runs on the victory over the Grays.

With this win the padres secured a playoff spot on 2014 season.

The padres take the win over the Dodgers behind a stellar outing from Victor Jorge, who got all the scoring he needed on a RBI single by Luis Caro in the 1st inning and two more runs in the 5th on a RBI infield-hit by Julio Gonzalez. Victor Jorge dominated fanning 11 and allowing a run in seven innings.

Julio Gonzales had a multi-hit game.

Alex Ahmed connected the only hit (double) allowed by Jorge and scored the only run for the Dodgers.

Padres right-hander Carlos Osorio won after allowing a run on six hits with five strikeouts in seven innings against the Tigers on a sunny day at Libby Field today. Osorio limited the tigers to just one run and he is now leading the league with 51 strikeouts in the season.

The first padres run came in the 2nd inning with a HBP to Jose Lopez with the bases loaded and the padres added some more runs when Luis Caro drove in 2 with a triple in the top of the 3rd inning, Caro has now 7 games hitting streak.

Marcos Reyes had another multi-hit game on today victory over the Tigers.

A's TOP PADRES

The A's took the second game of a two-game series with the Padres on Thursday night in East Boston.

The A's took an early lead on back-to-back triples from Nick Tapper and Matt Asdornvuttikrai.

In the fourth, the A's got some timely hitting and took advantage of some Padres miscues to put the game out of reach. The inning included RBI hits from Lamouruex, Colella, O'Keefe, and Tapper. Will Wilde, Asdornvuttikrai, and Tapper each finished with two hits on the evening.

Jason Kurtz notched his third win of the season, striking out seven and limiting the Padres to just four hits.

Yeysson Frias went 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Padres, who look to bounce back Sunday afternoon against the Red Sox. The A's next face the Spinners.

Another great performance by Victor Jorge keeping the Atheletics to 1 run in five strong innings allowing only three hits while striking out 8 on a raining day at Fallon Field, Jorge earned his 3rd win of the season as the Padres took over the third place in the Bay State Division.

Julio Gonzales (1-for-2) drove in the first run in the top of the 2nd inning with a RBI double, Marcos Reyes (2-for-2) had a multi-hit game with a RBI on today victory over the Athletics.

Matt Rosenzweig had 9 strikeouts for the Athelitics.

Victor Jorge logged six shutout innings with 13 strikeouts allowing only two hits to earn his first win of the season, the padres took the early lead in the first inning and added another run in the fourth on a RBI double by Andrew Cahill.

Emmanuel De La Cruz closed the door for the padres.

Eric Harvey struck out 11 in six solid frames for the Tigers.
