JM Force of Hyde Park 8, Boston Bombers 6
Force win NL in first year and continue their championship run from last year. After getting up 8-2, a very good Bombers team battled back and made it very interesting by scoring 4 in the bottom of 6th. Force was able to contain the powerful Bombers by bringing in last nights winning pitcher, Darwin Mesa for the save. Kudos to both teams for putting together 2 great teams and one great series. |

Sun, 25 August, 12:00PM, at Natick - Natick HS/Mahan (Game 2 of DH)
Natick Knights 9, Boston Bombers 1
Natick wins against a short handed Bomber squad, finishing out an otherwise difficult season by taking 6 of their last 9 games. All players in the lineup had at least one hit for the Knights and 7 players had multiple hits. Mike Vernon won his 2nd game of the day and picked up his 3rd win of the season.
For the Bombers, Lightbody launched his 4th HR of the year on a blast to left that cleared the 333 mark by at least 50-60 feet.
Congrats to the Bombers who finished the year with the league's best record at 19-5. Good luck in the playoffs. |

Sun, 25 August, 9:30AM, at Natick - Natick HS/Mahan (Game 1 of DH)
Natick Knights 4, Boston Bombers 3
Natick wins a tight one against a very short handed Bombers squad who had already locked up the Top seed in the league heading into the playoffs.
After talking about his HR power all year, John Storti finally put one over the fence with a shot to center in the 1st for his first career MSBL HR. Storti ended the game 2-3 with 3 RBI's and one bat flip that can only be described as 'Storti being Storti'.
Silk, Biagi, Smith, Vernon and Gately each added 2 hits for the Knights and Mike Vernon picked up his 2nd win of the season. |

Cambridge Cantabs 7, Boston Bombers 6
After trailing for the entire day and being shutdown by Cavagnaro, the Cantabs put up 5 runs in the bottom of the 8th to take a 7-6 lead that they would not relinquish.
On a muggy overcast day, the kind where you sweat merely from breathing, the teams combined for 31 hits. Several guys on each squad had multi-hit games, including a 4-hit day for Lightbody (aka the "Lord of Hitting"). For the Bombers, Cavagnaro turned in a dominant showing on the mound. For the 'Tabs, Amico provided stellar relief in picking up the W. |
