After being down 5-1, McKay Club rallied to score 6 unanswered runs to take game one in this best of 5 series. It all happened with a 7th inning that plated 4 runs with 2 outs. Mike Barthel helped his own cause by delivering the game-winning RBI with a bases-clearing triple in that same inning.

Ryan Hagan pitched 5 solid innings to earn his second win in a week for McKay Club. The offense exploded in the second inning as the Beacons batted around for 6 of their 8 runs. There were 8 hits in the inning, including a bases clearing triple by Jack Owens. Adam Kulis and Connor Reinfurt pitched the 6th and 7th, respectively, to complete an 8-2 win over the Brighton Braves. This was McKay Club's 20th win of the 2010 season.

The McKay Club let their bats do the talking while a Comcast viewership watched something special. Jack Owens (4-4 & 4RBI) & Connor Reinfurt (2-2 & 2RBI) smashed titanic HR's. Bryan Curran also went 3 for 4 with a run scored. A tremendous pitching performance by Big Game Mike Barthel (6-3) propelled the Beacons into a tie for the Yaz Division lead.

Nice recovery from an awful Sunday afternoon performance. Big Bats, Great Pitching, solid D and closed mouths win ball games!

Mitch Monke drove in the eventual game-winning run with a sac fly in the 8th inning and pitched the last 5 innings (2-hit shutout ball)to pick up the win in a great battle as the A's win 2-1 in 8 against the McKay Club.

Pat Bresnehan tossed the first three frames for Al Thomas, yielding an unearned run while walking one and whiffing six. John Kostas and Peder Von Harten had 2 hits apiece, while Steve Lambert drove in the first runs for the A's.

Bryan Curran pitched a great 8 innings and Kyle McKay had 2 of the Beacons' 4 hits.

Despite the errors on each side, there were many great defensive plays in the game.

Minutemen put a scare into the McKay Club - and took a 4-1 lead. BUT - a 5 run 5th put us over the top.

Brian Curran had 4RBI in this contest. Peter Karl came on in relief of T Michael for the win.

Bryan Curran got out of a few james and pitched a complete game win over a tough Brighton Black Sox team. Curran hit 3, but walked none while striking out 8. A key play came on a bang-bang play from Matt Savage to Connor Reinfurt to Kyle McKay to nail Andy Kurzon at the plate, completing a 9-4-2 play.

Jackie Owens had 2-2 night with a walk and a 5th inning HOME RUN BLAST to plate an insurance run for Curran. Jackie also had 3 put outs in center. Savage and Victor Pina delivered the other 2 RBIs for McKay Club that resulted in the team's 15th win.

McKay Club manufactured 3 runs in the second with 2 coming from a bases-loaded single by Drew Tambling. Tom Michael homered in the third to record the game's 4th run.

South Boston rallied in the top of the 5th that plated 2. After a 50 minute delay due to lightning in the area, the game was called in the bottom of the 5th.

On a beautiful day for baseball, Tom Levett throws a complete game gem, picking up his 6th win of the season.

Rockies started the scoring in the 2nd on a Ned Coffee solo shot to centerfield. McKay ties things up in the 5th on a sac fly w 1 out and the bases loaded. On the throw to the plate, Drew Tambling tried advancing to 3rd but was cut down to end the threat.

In the bottom of the 7th, Kevin Spitz led off the inning with a single and was lifted for the pinch runner Jay Lapointe. Ned Coffee then worked a walk, followed by a sacrifice bunt by Dan Jalbert which was bobbled by the pitcher and everyone was safe. McKay calls on Karl to relieve their starter Michael to face Aj Bucciarelli. First pitch he sees he singles over the center fielders head for the walk off win.

Sean Glavin chips in w a 2-3 day and 2 doubles.

A Barthlian effort helped the Beacons shine tonight at Rogers. A complete game 4 hitter with no earned runs scored (2) and a mamouth 2 run homer iced this game for Mike Barthel.

Drew Tambling struck an inside the park HR in the 7th to pad the lead. Dan Ciocca was solid at 2B with 7 assists.

The Beacons took an early 1-0 lead behind the solid pitching of Dan Gomez. Dan held on thru 6 solid innings. It looked like the McKay Club had things all settled when they added 2 insurance tallies in the 6th. NO - NO -- it was not OVAH! South End sounded an attack and plated 2 huge runs and had the bases loaded in the 7th. Bryan Curran was called upon to put out the fire on this steamy night in the South End. Beacons win 3-2!

Mike Barthel withstood a last-minute rally by the Cyclones to get this win. It was one strong inning in the third for McKay Club that made the difference. The Beacons finish this week by winning 3 straight and look to continue the momentum after the July 4th break.

This one went crazy in the 5th, everyone on the Beacons plated at least once, Bryan Curran hit for the cycle and Dan Gomez pitched another gem as the McKay Club turned it on for a win in East Boston. The game ended after six since an inning cannot start after 10:30PM.

The Braves score 6 in the 6th to pull off a great come from behind win and steal one from McKay Club. The Braves compiled 2 walks, HBP, 2 singles, each with the bases loaded, to lead the comeback. Evan Schein had 2 hits in the inning and had a stellar night at the plate, finishing 3-4, 2B, R, 3 RBI. Darrow gets credit for the win while Schlesinger held on in the 7th allowing a leadoff hit but striking out 2 for his first save of the season.

Mike Barthel started the scoring in the first for McKay with a two-run shot into the trees in right. Eight of the starters for the Beacons all had a hit a piece.

Dan Gomez pitched a complete game, 1-hit shutout for his second win of the season. He also struck out 18 and homered to help his own cause. Bryan Curran and Mike Barthel also went yard to lead the Beacons offensive explosion as the McKay Club beat the South End Astros 10-0 at McConnell.

Beacons defeated Malden 6-5 at McConnell in another stress-filled encounter. The Beacons took a 5-0 lead in the 3rd. BUT - Malden never walks away from the park with out a fight. The Bulldogs plated 2 runs in 4th and 3 in 7th to tie it up. Bryan Curran settled things by smashing a single to left to ice the win in the bottom of the 7th.

Solid team effort for McKay Club as Tambling, Reinfurt, Gomez and Owens combined for 8 hits and 6 RBI, while Tom Michael and Tony Damon took care of business on the hill. Savin Hill was a tough opponent who kept it interesting with some timely hitting. Dan Gomez blasted 2 triples for the Beacons and Tom Michael combined with Tony Damon for 13 K's off the mound. 4 out of 5 runs scored by Savin Hill came as a result of walks or errors and McKay Club lost two players early on due to injury - Ciocca and Guerrero are day-to-day.

Malden, MA - Evan Tardugno pitched six solid innings as the Malden Bulldogs won their seventh straight, beating the McKay Club Beacons tonight by a final of 3-2.

Tardugno faced just 23 batters on the night, striking out four and issuing one walk. Jon Shepard allowed one run in the seventh but stranded the tying run at second for his second save of 2010.

Anthony Perry jump started the Bulldog offense as he went 2-for-2 with a run scored and a triple. He was replaced by Robbie Mondello who scored a run and had a key RBI base hit in the fifth.

On a cold night at McConnell, Kyle Breidenstine (W, 1-0) picks up where he left off in 2009, throwing five innings of one-run (unearned), two-hit ball. The Moose finished with two walks and six strikeouts. Relievers Steve DeFusco and J.J. Miller pitched the 6th and 7th for Beacon Hill.

DH Joe Patrolia (3-for-3, R, 2B, RBI) and new Dodger SS Mike Navarro (2-for-4, R, 2B,) both had great night for the Dodgers. 1B Nick Tapper and catcher Bryan Duffy had an RBI triple each. Six other Dodgers added hits, including RF Joe Barresi singling in his first at-bat as a Dodger. CF Jay Shatto made a great diving catch to rob McKay catcher Kyle McKay of extra bases.

For the Beacons, McKay (2-for-3, R, RBI) led the offense all night. Mike Barthel pitched four innings of solid relief for starter Adam Kulis (L, 0-1).
