The A's take a nailbiter to go up 2-0 in the best of five series. This one was scoreless going into the bottom of the 3rd, when late arrival Jay Lamoureux smoked a 3-2 pitch deep down the RF line for a HR. The White Sox would come right back in the top of the 4th on a Felix Villalobos RBI single. In the bottom of the 5th, Jay Lam was back up with men on 1st and 2nd when he hit a shot to left that snuck through the LF, scoring both runners. In the top of the 7th, Kyle Breidenstine relieved McGowan after an error put a man on first, and ended up walking in a run on borderline pitches. He would then get Naumo to fly to left to end the game with the tying run on 3rd to secure his 2nd save in as many games. The A's played tremendous defense, including turning two double plays and an amazing throw by Mike Sheehan to throw a runner out at 3rd from RF. Tomaro pitched well in the loss, allowing only 4H in the CG effort.
