A classic. Jon Tenney & Mike "Big Game" Barthel locked up in a great, extra inning post season match up. Barthel went 9.1 IP and Tenney went 8 and each allowed only one run. The Sox would throw out 2 Storm runners at the plate. One was a questionable attempted double steal with Rob Stephenson at the plate and it would end the inning. The other was a squeeze and Waltham's 1B, Jon Churchill, did his best "Derek Jeter flip" impersonation to Billy Gross at the plate who would tag out Rob Linn. With 2 outs in the bottom of the 10th, Dan Pill would double and Pete Fricker walked to set the stage for Brain Spadafino. Spads singled and Dan Pill would be waved in with Rob Linn blocking the plate. Linn did block Pill but the momentum from the slide would carry his foot over the plate. Waltham walks off in the bottom of the 10th in what has to be one of the best MSBL games in years.
