A's WIN IN EXTRAS TO ADVANCE
A pitcher's duel between the O'Keefe and Levensaler ended in a 10-inning win for the A's.
Donaruma led off the game with a walk. He advanced to 3rd on a Krall single and scored on a Rathapong Asdornvuttikrai fielder's choice. 1-0 A's.
In the 5th, the Cutters took advantage of two 2-out errors, and Weldon drove in Walsh with a double. 1-1.
The score stayed tied until the 10th inning, with both teams threatening with runners in scoring position.
In the 10th, the A's McIntyre led off with a single. Pinch-runner Kurtz advanced to 2nd on a Muollo sac bunt. Mahoney then doubled to right, scoring Kurtz. Lamoureux followed with a single up the middle to plate Mahoney and push the lead to 2 runs. 3-1 A's.
The Cutters threatened in their half. Jay Thomas walked and Walsh reached on an error. Kurtz replaced O'Keefe and recorded a strike out and a ground out to get the save and send the A's on |
