Backed by a big second inning and a complete game from Dan Blum, the Spinners beat the Red Sox 7-2 to take a two games to none lead in the best-of-five series. Blum gave up two runs on five hits, while striking out nine. The Spinners stayed hot, with ten different players churning out 11 hits. Ricky Salvia was 2-4 with a single, a double and an RBI. Omar Caceres stayed red hot with a single and a run scored and Greg Megedichian double in the second inning and drove in two runs. Zachary Walker scored a run for the Red Sox in the fifth to get on the board and after coming in as a pinch runner, Daniel Sturtevant scored on a sacrifice fly in the seventh.
