Game 1 of the BPL Championship turned in a classic playoff baseball pitcher's duel between Kyle Musco of Palmer and Josh Desai of ADSL. The first inning saw two of the three total runs in the game come across the plate, led by a leadoff triple by John Arens under the diving attempt of Chris Curran in centerfield. Josh Ellis drove in the first run of the game on a deep sac fly for ADSL. Palmer answered immediately in the bottom of the inning on Jim Pierce's double to right field scoring Curran who led off with a single and stolen base. In the 3rd, ADSL scored again, with what ended up as the deciding run on Jared Blandino's single and stolen base, setting up a two-out RBI single by Frankie Tierney to give ADSL the 2-1 lead. Both pitcher's settled in and did not allow a run the rest of the game. Palmer threatened in the 7th with the bases loaded and two-out but Desai escaped by retiring Palmer on a ground out to SS to end the game.
