The much awaited return of The Brother capped off a solid alumni turnout for Palmer Club at Kelly Field on Monday night. A combination of home cooking, alumni support, and another welcome return - a fresh Back in Black helmet game - proved to be a lethal combination for Palmer's offense, as Mat Seropian & Shane Stande took a night off from a busy wedding season to help Palmer look the part for the series finale. Per usual, Monday Night Special PJ Gouthro (8-0) dealt, going 6 innings, allowing 1 earned run before handing things over to Brendan Telfer in the 7th. Telfer was impressive, striking out the side to vault Palmer past the defending champs and into the Park League finals for a second consecutive year. Palmer's 1-5 hitters flat out raked Monday night, going 13-19 with 10 RBIs, capped off by a majestic grand slam that landed 4 steps up into the Mecca by Frank Alexopoulos (3-4, 5 RBI) that sealed the deal in the 6th.
