The Rockies nearly pulled off one of their patented playoff comebacks in the bottom of the 7th, getting the tying run to 3rd on an error with 2 outs before Beauchesne struck out the final hitter.

For the Rockies, Brian Cooper was the hard-luck loser, keeping the Mets off balance all night and allowing 8 singles and just 1 earned run over 7 innings. For the Mets, Seth Grossman had his 7th straight multi-hit game and Brent Bushong also added 2 hits.
