It was Matt Coyne night at Ryan field as Coyne spun a 3 hit complete game gem to put the Sens ahead 1-0 in the first round. Coyne kept the Spinners' bats off balance all night and worked out of a bases loaded, one out jam in the bottom of the 7th by striking out the last two batters to secure the win. John Maryanski led the offense with two hits and drove in the winning run after a double by rookie sensation Steve McKeown. OF McKeown had two hits on the night and had a key assist at second to kill the rally. David Timmons chipped in with a hit and had several key defensive plays at first.
