Waltham wins behind good pitching performance from Dan Pill and GREAT defensive play from the infield. The sox turned 4 double plays and with every one of them, Braintree would strand men in scoring postion.

Rockies got 1 in top of first but the Sox put 6 runs on the board in the bottom of the 3rd, when Dan Pill helped his own cause and Derrick Luccini each had big hits with doubles. It used to be the killer B's for the Astros but L's were wild for Waltham as Lubrun, Leet, Levensaler and Luccini all had 2 hits each.

Pill pitched 8 innings before giving way after walking the leadoff batter in the ninth and falling behind 2-0 in the count. Levensaler comes in for the save and Waltham will face off with Natick.

Marc Nickerson throws a complete game for Braintree striking out 8. Rockies have a great first season with second best overall record and several league leaders statistically.

A good battle between 2 good clubs. Rockies try to jump out early in the first, but Dana Levensaler throws out Rob Linn at the plate on a single by Stephenson. Game scoreless until Braintree gets 1 in the fourth on a Nickerson line drive that Levensaler looses in lights. Waltham puts up 5 runs in the sixth. Derrick Luccini and Gary Vallerand each had doubles that led to runs. Rockies pull within a run as they plate 3 in the 7th but help Waltham by getting in a run down for an out.
Bottom of 8th, Gauvin walks bases loaded and would be relieved by Levensaler with 2 outs who K's Cassidy to end the inning and Braintree would go down in order in the ninth.
Andolina gets the win, Levensaler the save and Tenney pitched well going the distance for Braintree with 9 K's.

Great see-saw contest between two playoff-bound teams. Braintree jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead, only to see Natick push across 8 runs in the 4th inning. Bobby Austin came in out the pen for the Rockies and stopped the bleeding, allowing only one run in the last 3+ innings, but the Knights clung to a 9-5 lead going into the 6th. Braintree added two runs in the 6th on a Mark Nickerson double and pushed across another 3 runs in the 7th, capped by a Paul Grammar walk-off hit. Brian Cassidy scored the winning run after knocking in the previous tying run with a double.

Jon Tenney turned in a dominatn performance on the hill for the Rockies, who desperately needed a boost. Complete game shutout for Tenney. Kevin Krueger pitched well in defeat for the Knights, retiring the last 10 batters.

Battle between two playoff bound teams with both teams combining for 25 hits. Manning pitched well enough to get his 11th win. Rich Winant led the Storm w/ 3 hits and 2 rbi, Hank Cadra with 2 hits(triple) and rbi and Manning with 2 hits & 2rbi to help his own cause. Tunney and Valdabrini(2 doubles) with 4 hits between them and Grammer on base all night for Braintree.

Good combined outing on the hill by Comeau, Barthel & Tenney of the Braintree Rockies. Hannon, Grammar & Tenney were the offensive stars for Braintree, each recording multiple hits. Tom Manning was the offensive star for the Malden Storm with 3 hits and hard shots in all at bats.

Waltham keeps coming back and pulls off the win in extra innings and it seemed there must have been a full moon or something.
Rockies get out to a big lead early from the combination of their good hitting and Waltham's defense apparently left their gloves at home. Top of the first, Rob Stephenson hit's a 2 run homer to get out early.
Waltham would eventually compile 17 hits with Chris Deane topping it off having a 4-6 performance with 2 runs and 4 RBI. Gary Vallerand, Dan Pill and Dana Levensaler all added 3 hits each.
Some things out of the bizar category:
The sox were down 3 runs in the bottom of the seventh, with 2 outs and no runners on base. The sox led off the bottom of the 8th and 9th innings with strikeouts that would reach base and both would eventually score. There was a perfect bunt by Mark Fitzpatrick with 2 strikes.

Great late-season battle between the Mets & Rockies. Braintree pulled away mid-game on the shoulders of a big inning powered by Hannon, Iarrobino, Strassmann & Valdabrini, and then held-on for dear life as the Mets came storming back in the 6th & 7th. Dave Worthely pitched a 6+inning gem for Braintree, with all five runs being unearned. Steve Hueston also pitched well for the Mets in defeat.

White Sox jumped out in front and then hung on for their lives. SungHoi An pitched well until he tired in the sixth. Ramon Antiqua finished off the game and also had a bases clearing triple in the first. Scott Ellis was 3-3, 2 rbis and Jeff Coveney had 2 hits and flashed the leather to keep the Sox playoffs hopes alive.

Rob Linn was 3-4 for the Rockies, who utilized a skunk in centerfield to intimidate the visiting club.

Great game all around played by both Braintree and the Middlesex Brewers. The Brewers jumped out to a 5-0 lead and were cruising into the 7th when the Rockies offense awoke. Big hits by Bobby Austin, Jimmy Michel, Gus Iarrobino, Robby Linn, Mark Nickerson and finally Dave Valdabrini, catapulted Braintree into a tie. The game remained a stalemate for two innings until Robby Linn knocked one off the fence in the 9th with two runners on for the walkoff double. Herculean effort on the hill for the Brewers pitcher, going the distance. Bobby Austin picked-up the win pitching three scoreless innings in relief of Nickerson.

Another great pitcher's duel between Kevin Curtin of the Astros and Johnny Comeau of the Rockies. Braintree jumped out to an early lead with single runs in the 2nd & 3rd innings knocked in by Paul Grammar's safety squeeze and back to back doubles by Rob Linn and Mike Hannon. Comeau was cruising along until Lexington scored a pair of unearned runs in the 6th. Braintree came right back in the bottom-half of the sixth with the winning run, setup by a single by Dave Worthley, a wild pitch and then another clutch hit from current Braintree MVP Greg "Chili" Davis that proved to be all that was needed.

A wild back and forth game between two long-time rivals, Braintree outlasted the Somerville Senators 10-6 behind the bat and arm of Mark Nickerson. Nickerson counted a home run amongst his pair of hits and allowed only 2 earned runs. Mike Hannon hit a crucial 2 run home run in the 6th to put Braintree back on top 7-6 after falling behind 6-5 in the top half. Steve Capozziof the Senators pitched well and was hurt by a multitude of unearned runs.

Cassidy (2-2), Tenney (2-4, HR) and Stepehenson (2-2, BB) were on base all day for Braintree.

Wayland battled back against Bob Austin, coming on in relief of Nickerson in the 8th, by adding one run each in the last two innings, falling just short in their comeback attempt. Greg "Chili" Davis led the Braintee attack with a pair of clutch hits and RBI, while Rob Linn also had a multiple hit game for Braintree.

Great pitching duel between Kevin Curtin of the Astros and Mark Nickerson of the Braintree Rockies. The ball bounced Braintree's way as Dave Valdabrini hit a crucial double in the 6th knocking in Nickerson for what proved to be the winning run. Nickerson struck out 8 in going the distance and Curtin fanned four Rockies while limiting them to only 8 hits.

Braintree broke open a tight game in the 4th with six runs and held-off the Senators, despite Home-Runs from Justin Crisafulli and Scott Rodgers. Mark Nickerson pitched three solid inning in relief for Braintree picking up his first win of the season. Mike Hannon shined defensively for Braintree at shortstop, while also chipping in with two hits. Nickerson added three hits and Grammar, Valdabrini, Stephenson & Strassmann also added multiple hit games to lead the Braintree offense.

The Braintree bats came alive with seven extra-base hits. Rob Linn led the attack with a home run, stolen base and two hits, while Strassmann, Iarrabino and Depippo also had multiple hit games for Braintree. Game-Winner Jon Tenny provided five innings of solid work on the hill, followed by John Comeau and Bobby Austin nailing it down. Rob Moschella led the Middlesex offense.
