Scituate Tides 12, Natick Knights 5
Tides take home their 2nd championship in 3 years!!! Game was much closer than score would indicate. Lary Cibotti and Rob Monti (Cy Young winner if they gave it out) combine on the hill for the win. More details on the message board, as for some reason, I'm sure to run out of space on 400.hitter... |

Caccavelli was on top of his game, scattering 6 hits while striking out 6. Natick played outstanding defense with key play by Doug Flutie, making a diving stop from the outfield grass with the bases loaded and throwing guy out from his knees(also had 2 hits and BB at the plate). Dave Marsters deserved better, striking out 10 in 5 innings, but had no help from his defense. One team moves on the other goes home for the winter on Wednesday night in Natick. |

Manning brought his A game today, throwing a 3 hitter, while walking 2. Natick jumped out to an early 1-0 lead, but Storm, who had been threatening, tied it up in 6th and went ahead in 7th. Bo Finnegan with the big hit. Strong defense behind Manning for the Storm as Milo was outstanding behind the dish today. Stats to follow |

Braintree Rockies 10, Natick Knights 9
Great see-saw contest between two playoff-bound teams. Braintree jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead, only to see Natick push across 8 runs in the 4th inning. Bobby Austin came in out the pen for the Rockies and stopped the bleeding, allowing only one run in the last 3+ innings, but the Knights clung to a 9-5 lead going into the 6th. Braintree added two runs in the 6th on a Mark Nickerson double and pushed across another 3 runs in the 7th, capped by a Paul Grammar walk-off hit. Brian Cassidy scored the winning run after knocking in the previous tying run with a double. |
