Steve Wolf was 3-3, 3R, Scott Ellis had 3 hits, 2 RBIs and 2 SB, Bill Carlezon had 2 hits including a RBI double to tie it. SungHoi An had his first career hit and dropped down a key sacrifice that allowed Brian Spadafino to knock in the winning run in the 8th on a long double.

White Sox jumped out in front and then hung on for their lives. SungHoi An pitched well until he tired in the sixth. Ramon Antiqua finished off the game and also had a bases clearing triple in the first. Scott Ellis was 3-3, 2 rbis and Jeff Coveney had 2 hits and flashed the leather to keep the Sox playoffs hopes alive.
Rob Linn was 3-4 for the Rockies, who utilized a skunk in centerfield to intimidate the visiting club. |

Wayland put up 2 runs in each of the 6th and 7th, to make it a 1 run game as they started getting to Fitzpatrick. Waltham added an insurance run in the top of 9 and Pill closed the door.

Wayland battled back against Bob Austin, coming on in relief of Nickerson in the 8th, by adding one run each in the last two innings, falling just short in their comeback attempt. Greg "Chili" Davis led the Braintee attack with a pair of clutch hits and RBI, while Rob Linn also had a multiple hit game for Braintree. |

Waltham seemed to like the number 3, as they scored 3 times in an inning, at four different times. Wayland got the bats going later in the game, scoring in 3 of the final 4 innings.
With the key addition of baseball shaped on-deck circles, (provided by Gary Vallerand) and several new player additions, Waltham jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first and never looked back.
Mark Fitzy ate his wheaties (or Lucky Charms) giving the Sox a quality outing. Derrick Gauvin led the pack going 2-2 with a double, 2 steals, 2 runs and 3 RBI, Dan Pill added 2 doubles to left-center that were FROZEN ROPES! Chris Deane, went 2-3 with a walk, steal, 2 runs and 1 RBI.
