The Cutters advance to the finals for the 3rd time in 6yrs.

Scoring 3 runs in the 1st and 2 in the second, the Cutters took a 5-0 lead. But the White Sox did not give up. They battled back scoring 3 in the 4th highlighted by a Clemente double. In the 6th the Cutters added 2 more insurance runs on a rbi triple from Coffee and Crossman scored on a miscue in the field by the Whitesox.

Crossman earned the win in relief tossing 3 2/3 of scoreless ball reliving starter Ned Coffee. Hubbard pick up the loss for Ben's Dream Whitesox.

Coffee was the offensive star going 3-5 with 3 rbi and a triple. Bucc and Swaz also had 2 hits a piece and scored 5 of the Cutters runs.

Sox stay alive in the series.

Down 3-0 in the 5th, Matt O'Hara is HBP to start the inning and Brett Rudy then singled. Matt Deeb then tripled them both in with Rudy safe at the plate on a close play. Ivan Clemente doubled, Anthony Tomaro tripled, Omar Ortiz and Felix Villalobos each singled to do the rest of the damage.

In the bottom of the frame, the Cutters got one back after Swaz tripled and Coffee singled him home on a 2-out, 3-0 pitch. Matt Smith entered in relief of Anthony Tomaro and recorded a K to end the inning.

The Sox added an insurance run when Rudy singled in the 6th and later scored when Smitty executed a safety squeeze with another bang-bang play at the plate.

Smitty held the Cutters scoreless the rest of the way for the Sox save. Mike Diccico got a no decision on the Cutters start while Jay Wisner took the loss. Anthony Tomaro got the clutch win.

Cutters jump out to an early lead thanks to an rbi single from Swazzy. In the bottom of 3rd the Cutters take advantage of miscues in the field from the Whitesox to score 3. Kilduff pitched well carrying a no hitter into the 5th. Smitty broke up the no no bid with a single up the middle and eventually scored on a felix single. Whitesox pushed across another run in the 6th to make it 4 2 but in the bottom of 6th w 1 out Booch hit a triple and w 2 outs Hubbard intentionally walked Swaz to face Coffee. Swaz then proceed to attempt to steal 2nd and caused a balk to score Booch. Then w 2 outs Coffee scored Swaz on a single and Wis came into shut the door in the 7th.

Duff pitches well, Cross and Swaz continue to stay HOT

Sox advance to the Atlantic Finals.

The Rangers scored in the 1st when Andy Katz singled and scored on a Bernie Stevens double. The Sox tied it in the 3rd when Mike Lembo singled, was bunted over, and scored on a Matt Deeb single. Score: 1-1.

The Rangers came back for 2 more in the 4th when Davin Wilfred doubled home Chris Caprio and Chris Plant. The Sox tied the it in the 5th with RBI singles from Matt O'Hara and Mike Pollak. Score: 3-3.

John Byrne hit a 2-run blast to break open the game in the 6th, and Anthony Tomaro drove in a run in the 7th to make the score 6-3. In the bottom of the 7th, Davin Wilfred homered to make the score 6-4 and knock starter Tomaro from the game.

Anthony Hubbard entered. Walked a batter, K'd a batter, walked a batter, K'd a batter. Error. Bases loaded for Bernie Stevens who flew out to end the dramatic game, 6-4.

Tomaro got the win, Hubbs got the save, Neil Doherty got the loss.

Byrne and Wilfred homer; Tomaro pitches Sox to victory.

The White Sox Andrew Hubbard and Rangers Kevin Krueger matched up brilliantly.

Going into the 6th of a 0-0 game, Anthony Tomaro hit a 2-out double and moved to 3rd base on a passed ball. Omar Ortiz walked. Matt Smith slapped a single to right past a diving Andy Katz to bring in the game's only run.

In the bottom of the 6th, the Rangers threatened. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Paul Bracco entered to pinch hit. Paul hit a rip up the middle. Playing short, Tomaro dove to his left and came up with a web gem, flipped to second and ended the threat.

In the bottom of the 7th, Hubbs lost steam. He walked the bases loaded but recorded 2 outs along the way. With Al Becker up and a 3-1 count, the pitch came in. Becker took a step out of the box toward the bench and was about to flip his bat away but the pitch was called a strike. The runner at 1st was caught leaning and picked off base by Clemente with a throw to 1st to end the game, 1-0.

The White Sox catcher was ejected in the 10th inning giving the Reds a forfeit victory. Below are the results of the exhibition that followed where the White Sox won 7-6 in dramatic fashion.

Anthony Tomaro's walk-off double sends to White Sox to an extra inning victory.

It was quite a remarkable game, as the Reds came back, down 4-2 in the 7th, to tie the score thanks to some timely singles by Erik Almonte, Geoff Fay and Matt Bloomer.

In the 9th, the Reds took a 5-4 lead, but the Sox tied the score at 5-5 when Anthony Tomaro doubled, stole 3rd and scored.

In the 10th, the Reds took a 6-5 lead. This time, the Sox came back and won it when Matt LoPresti walked, Ivan Clemente singled and Anthony Tomaro doubled them both home.

Andrew Hubbard pitched 6 strong for the Sox, allowing 3 hits and no earned runs. Chris Stone made his first mound appearance since May 5th. Matt Smith got some work and Matt LoPresti finally got the win

Matt LoPresti was rock solid for the White Sox, tossing a complete game and allowing only 4 hits and 1 unearned run. For the Indians, Josh Hale pitched just as well.

The Indians struck first in the 3rd inning when Hale reached and Mark Bowles singled him home. The Sox tied up the game in the 4th inning when Matt Smith, who had reached via HBP, and advanced to 3rd when Nate Butcher doubled, scored on a balk.

With the game 1-1 in the top of the 7th, Ivan Clemente singled to start the inning and stole second. After 2 outs, Julio Gonzalez singled hard to center. Mark Bowles fielded the ball cleanly to make a throw to the plate. The ball was up the line and high, allowing Clemente to score the go-ahead run.

In the bottom of the 7th, the Indians Greg Bennett and Hale each singled, but Lopresti stranded the tying and winning runs on base.

Sprinklers came on bottom of 7th Indians ahead 4 - 3.

So more than a month later, the game resumes. White Sox have men on 1st and 2nd base with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th. Omar Ortiz "leads off" with a walk to load the bases.

Josh Hale, now "relieving" Daryl Pina who had started the game, strikes out Anthony Tomaro with a full count to end the game and give the Tribe victory.

Senators' starter Sean Bourbeau picked up his first MABL win, pitching a complete game. Bourbeau was perfect through 4 innings but had to pitch his way out of trouble in the 5th and 7th.

In the second, the Senators plated 7 on 7 walks and 3 hits. Offensively, Nate Laliberte continued his stellar year with 2 RBIs, a home run and a walk. Joe Burns, Matt Meuse and Dennis Ingram each had one hit and contributed with walks and RBIs.

The White Sox made it interesting at times with an RBI triple by Mike Lembo to break up the no-hitter followed by a home run by slugger Brett Rudy.

Bourbeau gets the win. Laliberte and Rudy go deep.

The Sox picked up the win to split the twin bill behind the arm of Matt LoPresti. MLo picked up his first win since the Break with a complete game effort, allowing 7 scattered hit.

The Rangers scored in the 2nd when Paul Bracco, Davin Wilfred and Chad Besegai led off the inning with consecutive singles. Mike Bristol's sac fly scored Bracco before MLo escaped further damage.

The Sox broke open a 1-1 tie in the 3rd when Matt Deeb singled, stole second, and was driven in by an Ivan Clemente single. From there, the remaining runs were collateral damage, highlighted by another single by Clemente, this time driving in 2 runs. Matt Deeb, Ivan Clemente and Matt Smith had multiple hits for the Sox.

Andrew Rutkiewicz picked up the Rangers loss. Kevin Krueger pitched the final 4 Rangers frames effectively.

MLo gets complete game win.

In a game shortened by heat lightning, Andrew Hubbard improved to 4-1, allowing 3 hits with 6 K's, to keep the Sox in first place. Tom Cousineau took the loss for the Reds.

The Sox struck for 3 in the first inning, capped by an Anthony Tomaro RBI single and a 2-RBI double blast by John Byrne. Mike Lembo plated 2 more with an opposite field single in the second inning.

In the 3rd inning, after Nate Butcher singled and Felix Villalobos doubled, Matt Deeb hit a 3-run homer to right field, reaching the fence by the Ryan water on a hop.

Deeb would hit a 2-run homer the next inning too, but was called out for missing 3rd base that the proceeding runner kicked out of the way. Deeb, Tomaro, Bryne, Smith and Villalobos all strung together multihit games for the Sox.

The Reds scored their run in the 3rd when Tom Cousineau tripled and scored on a sac fly.

Andrew Hubbard pitched the Sox to victory, tossing 6 steady innings before making way the Matt Smith who closed out the 7th. Frank Nellenback took the loss for the Grays.

The Sox took the lead in the first inning with RBI singles from Anthony Tomaro and Brett Rudy and never relinquished it, scoring in each of the first 5 innings.

Of note, Julio Gonzalez returned to the club and caught a full game. From the leadoff slot, he went 3 for 4 with a double, triple, walk and 2 runs scored. Ivan Clemente and Felix Villalobos also had multiple hits. Matt O'Hara drew 2 walks, extending his streak of reaching base to 7 straight plate appearances.

For the Grays, consecutive doubles by Scott Brodsky and Paul Branche got them going in the 1st. Multiple singles by Josh Ernstoff, a single by Chris Barrientos and a Frank Nellenback triple did the rest of the Grays damage, as they battled back in the 7th only to fall short again.

Sox starter Anthony Tomaro tossed a 4-hit shutout, not surrendering a hit until Jamie Aldoupolis let loose with a rope in the 5th. Jamie would finish with 2 hits for the A's, including a double. Meanwhile, Ant chalked up 9 K's on this night and his 3rd straight appearance without allowing a run.

Offensively, the White Sox' Matt Deeb ended his streak of 7 straight plate appearances drawing a walk, and 9 straight reaching safely. Still, 6 of the last 7 games, he has led off the game reaching safely and scored.

The Sox big inning occured in the third when John Byrne singled to lead off. Mike Lembo then doubled him home (his 5th straight safe reach). Brent Campbell reached on error and later scored when Mike Pollak with hit by his 5th pitch of the season. Deeb and Felix Villalobos also walked that inning.

Jamie Aldoupolis took the A's loss, tossing 4 innings of 5-hit ball. Sam Landman tossed the final 3 shutout innings.

Orioles win a slugfest down at Clifford 12-6. The White Sox jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first, but the Orioles would respond in the bottom of the frame with 6 runs on 6 hits, starting with a bunt single by Bere, and including two triples by Buckley and Wilde and a double by Rosa. The Orioles would never look back.

The White Sox blanked the Cutters 4-0 to split the doubleheader. Matt Smith (Win on 4.2 innings) and Anthony Tomaro (Save on 2.1 innings with 7 straight outs) combined to toss a 2-hit shutout.

Offensively, Matt Deeb did most of the damage. His first at bat, he singled, stole second and third, then scored on a wild pitch. His second at bat, he doubled and scored on a pitcher error. His third at bat, he walked, moved along on a pick-off attempt, then scored on a Anthony Tomaro sacrifice fly. Mike Lembo also singled and later scored on a wild pitch.

Jay Wisner absorbed the loss for the Cutters, going 4 innings before making way to Ned Coffee who finished the pitching duties.

The White Sox and Tigers battled it out at the OK Corral in Chelsea as the skies cleared but the thunder still rolled. The Tigers jumped on top in the 1st with 3 straight hits followed by a Murph SF, then a single by the white hot Mike Morgan. The White Sox took the lead in the 2nd on 4 singles including a fake bunt slash by Smith, but the Tigers evened it up in the bottom half on a Gib BB and a Pane 1b to drive him in. From there the Tigers didn't look back as Wlodarczyk didn't allow a hit the rest of the night.

Morgan knocked in the game winner in the 3rd, reaching base for the 8th straight time, and JP put it away with a missile to right for his 3rd Monster Mash of the year.

This game was certainly all it was cracked up to be as the two teams fought to the end, but the Tigers were able to come out on top and tie the Indians for the Division lead going into the big weekend DH.

The White Sox' Chris Falato and the Mariners' EJ Freni went head to head in a matchup of Atlantic All-Star hurlers. This one was anything but a pitchers duel from the start, with the Sox ahead 8-5 through 4. The White Sox added 1 more run in the 7th, leaving the M's in a 9-5 hole with 3 outs remaining.

Having grown accustomed to trailing late, the M's hitters remained patient and loaded the bases with none out. The next 2 hitters reached on a bases loaded walk and hit batsman, knocking in 2 runs. A Steve Limoges single plated 2 more to knot the score at 9-9. A walk loaded the bases again, setting the stage for Tim DeMarco, whose sac fly scored Jay LaPointe with the winning run.

There was a ton of offense in this game. Steve Limoges, Jay LaPointe, and Jeff Rausch had 2 hits apiece for the M's, as did Matt Deeb, Felix Villalobos, and Omar Ortiz for the Sox. Limoges and Ivan Clemente each drove in 4 runs.

Limoges (4 RBI) and DeMarco (3 RBI) provide the offense; Clemente knocks in 4.

Andrew Hubbard tossed a 1-hit complete game with 7 K's to lead the White Sox over the M's.

The Sox struck first blood when Matt Deeb walked to leadoff the game and Ivan Clemente and Omar Ortiz had consecutive RBI singles.

The M's tied the game at 2-2 in the third inning when Tim DeMarco ripped the only hit of the game, a double that scored Dave Woods who had reached on error, as well as himself, after an outfield throwing error.

The game remained tied until the 6th when Steve Baldassari reached on error. With two outs, Matt Smith, Brent Campbell and Felix Villalobos delivered consecutive singles to break open the game and take the lead for good.

Andrew Hubbard came back from Tommy John surgery to pick up his first MABL win in more than a year. Hubbs went 5 innings, allowing 5 scattered hits and 2 runs, including a solo blast to the Cutter's Frank Kowalski.

The Sox scored in bunches in the first 4 innings. Steve Baladassari (4 RBI), Mike Lembo (3 RBI), Matt Deeb (RBI), Omar Ortiz (RBI) and Matt Smith all had multihit games to lead the White Sox offence. Chris Stone walked in his only appearance, and if he has his way, will finish the season with a perfect 1.000 OBP.

Hubbs notches first win in a year; Baldassari plates 4.

The White Sox beat the Grays in dramatic walk-off fashion in the bottom of the 7th inning to win 3-2.

Steve Baldassari led off the inning with a walk and Mike Lembo executed a perfect sacrifice bunt to move Baldassari into scoring position. Baldassari then stole third base. The throw and Steve came into 3rd at the same time and the ball scooted into left field. Steve took off for home and slid into the plate to win the game. Amazing finish!

Matt Smith got the win, tossing 1.2 innings of relief for Chris Falato who came out in the 6th inning with the score tied at twos. Smith has not allowed a run now in 6-straight outings.

The player of the game in the losing effort was arguably Brian Cosentino from the Grays. Cosentino allowed just 1-hit, a 6th inning RBI-single to Matt Deeb. Cosentino also went 2 for 2 at the plate.

The White Sox picked up the win over the Astros behind a 5-hit complete game effort by Matt Lopresi. The 'stros threatened in the first for a big ininng, loading the bases with no out. Shu Sasaki and Don Vachon had hits that inning as well as walks by Mike Vernon and Sean Dowling, but MLo got out of the inning allowing just 1 run thanks to a double play. MLo allowed just 3 hits, 0 walks and 1 run the rest of the way.

Though in defeat, Eric Harvey pitched well until the Sox bats started to get hot. The 4-run fifth put the Sox up for good, led by 2-RBI hits by John Byrne and Steve Baldassari. Omar Ortiz also had 3 hits on the day.

The White Sox offense came to life and pounded out the big hits when they counted to defeat the Mariners. In the first inning, a walk, reach on error, and a HBP set up a 3-RBI double for Anthony Tomaro. In the second inning, a Steve Baldassari single, walk and a HBP set up a 3-RBI double for Omar Ortiz. John Byrne added an RBI double to score Ortiz.

The Mariners battled back, scoring 4 in late innings. Jeff Rausch led the M's offense with a 3 for 3 day and added a HBP for good measure. Dave Salafia also added a couple of singles.

Chris Falato improved to 2-0, as newcomner Andrew Hubbard got the save, tossing 2+ innings of relief. Pat Walters tossed the complete game in defeat for the M's.

The Tigers claw out a victory against the White Sox at Chelsea. Silk (4-4,2B,3RBI,2R,SB) and Feliciano (2-4,HR,2RBI,4R,BB,SB) lead the way with the big sticks, while Houlding (6IP, 1ER, 6H, 5BB, 8K) was up and down through 6 before giving way to Copson to shut the door.

The Tigers started early with a run in the first, but broke the game open in the 2nd with 5 runs on 4 hits, including an arm-chair double by Murphy (1-4,4RBI,R,BB) that cleared the bases.

Clemente (2-4) and Smith (2-3,RBI,R) led the way for the White Sox, but the Tigers were too much on a hot day...

The A's won the backend of the doubleheader to split the day. The A's offense knocked out Sox starter Chris Stone after two outs in the first inning.

Santi Mazzeo had a huge day for the A's, driving two groundrule doubles into the rightfield parking lot, as well as a single, in a 3 for 3 performance. This performance also earn Santi an intentional walk later in the game.

A's newcomer Alan Donaruma also had a huge day, notching the win and going 3 for 3 himself with a pair of singles and a triple.

For the White Sox, Anthony Tomaro, Omar Ortiz and Mike Pollak collected multiple hits.

The Sox' Matt LoPresti (1-0) threw a gem and outdueled Kevin McGowan by tossing 6.1 innings of shutout ball. LoPresti allowed just 5 hits and 2 walks while striking out 4. Matt Smith gained the save tossing the final 2 outs to slam the door.

The Sox struck first in the 5th inning when John Byrne singled and stole his first base in recent memory. Then Steve Baldassari notched his first RBI as a member of the White Sox with a single. The Sox struck again in the 5th inning when Mike Lembo reached on error and later scored.

For the A's, Kevin McGowan allowed just 4 hits in his 5 innings before being relived by the MABL's #2 draf pick, Sam Landsman, who pitched 2 scoreless innings without allowing a hit. Josh Misiph also had 2 hits for the A's.

Chris Falato (1-0) matched up against Matt Coyne (0-1) in a pitchers dual that got interesting in the 7th inning.

The Sox scored 3 runs in the final frame after a few errors, a walk and RBI singles from Mike Pollak and Mike Lembo to make the score 5-1.

In the bottom of the 7th, the Senators faught back. Ingram singled and later scored on a sac fly making the score 5-2. Meuse then walked. Matt LoPresti then in for relief allowed a single and a walk for the Senators to load the bases. LoPresti then K'd Ben Keffer to get the save and strand the tying 3 runs on base.

O's squeak by the White Sox in extra innings in a tight one.

The Sox bats came alive in the 4th inning, plating 5 runs to stake a 7-3 lead and chase Bryan Healey from the game. But the Orioles chipped back, beginning with Jordan Krall dunking a ball in the river beyond the RF fence.

In the 6th, the baseball gods were smiling on the O's as they plated 5 runs against the Sox' bullpen on a series of well-placed bleeders, tying the game at 9 apiece. It would remain that way until the bottom of the 8th. Steve Magsam reached on a walk, Ari Rosa moved him along with a single, and then Ryan Bere and Jordan Krall both were HBP; the second plunking would force in the winning run.

Victor Ruiz earned the W in relief, pitching the final three innings allowing only one run and striking out three. Jordan Krall (2H, 2R, SB, HR, 4RBI) led the Oriole offense. The Sox were led by Chris Stone (5IP, 4R, 1ER, 3K) and Matt Deeb (4H, 2R, SB).
