The A's jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the second inning on four straight singles and a triple by Joe Berolini. The Braves, however, stopped the onslaught and put six runs across in the fifth to grab the lead for good. Steve Hare went the distance for the Braves to get the win.

Despite the 3 losses by forfeit and loss of 6 points in the standings, the Panthers are slowly crawling out of the basement of their division.
With this win, the Panthers are just two points away of having sole possession of the sixth playoff spot in the Federal Leauge. This Wednesday the 16th the Panthers host their division rivals The Dorchester Yankees in their fourth and final regular season game. So far the Panthers have taken two of three from the Yankees but the Yankees Manager has stated that they will even up the score. It was a beautiful day for the Brockton A’s and Wellesley Orioles season opener at Edgars Field in Brockton. The A’s and the O’s started their veteran aces, David Joseph and Danny O’Driscoll respectively. Both brought their good stuff along with over 150 games worth of pitching experience together. Joseph went 9 innings giving up 5 runs on 12 hits with 9 strike outs. O’Driscoll went 8 and 2/3 innings giving up 3 runs on 10 hits with 1 strike out. Chris Rosati came in with two outs and bases loaded in the bottom of the 9th to get one strike out with five pitches. For the A’s, there were extra base hits for McGee and Willis. For the O’s, Jimmy Dwyer had two hits including a double. Ronny Spinale had a two hit day with two RBI’s. Dave Gagin drove in two runs and made two excellent plays in the field. Rosati and Jamie Boganville both got their first hits in the league and Jamie scored the go ahead run in the top of the ninth.
