In a Tight Game with Two Aces Josh Alvarez and Gark Gaskin going head to head The Yankees and Skycrapers played a good ball game.
With the exception of a few blunders, it was a classic Ace Vs. Ace ball game.
The Yankees came within a fraction of losing the ballgame. A Crucial error in the Top of the 9th inning allowed the Scrapers to score 3 times and take a 5-4 lead. The Yankees however pulled off the victory in dramatic fashion...
With Runners James Wang on 3rd and Josh Alvarez on Second, Luis Gonzalez Blasted a liner down the 3rd base Line.
YANKEES WIN THHEEE YANKEEES WIN..
Honorable mention goes to Big Pat who had been struck out by Gaskin 4 times this year.. he hit a Triple in 7th Inning that allowed James Wang to Score what would eventually be the difference in the ballgame...

Shaskys 6, Yankees 1

 Summary | Box Score
Final 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 R H E
Yankees 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 1 3 3
Shaskys 1 0 3 0 2 0 0 x 6 9 3

A closer-than-the-score contest was played on a balmy night at dusty DeWitt Clinton. The Shaskys eked out a well-played dubya vs a competitive Yanks squad behind the solid pitching of Cyclone Reid and sparkling defense, featuring Fella Feliciano at the hot corner. Babe-magnet Birthday Boy Backstop Coach McCarthy chipped in with an RBI 1B as fans tossed birthday bouquets on the field. The game was interrupted for 12 minutes as the grounds' crew scrambled to fetch fresh flowers. Crash Keenan continued connecting consistently, climbing closer, categorically, to the league's statistical leaders. Serious and Silly swapped stories and stellar plays defensively and offensively, respectfully and the inseparable triumvirate of Fish, Chuck, Knuckles and Fenders held hands in the tough spots to strengthen their collective resolve - and to get in touch with their feminine side(s).

A botched pickoff with the bases loaded in the 4th opened the scoring for the Skyscrapers. Gary Gaskin and Jason Rue had dueled in a scoreless game up until that point. The Scrapers caught a break in the next inning when a 2-out grounder by Nick Mullan hit the 3rd base bag, becoming an RBI single. Gaskin then helped his cause with a 2-run single, part of a 4 for 4 day at the plate with 3 RBIs. Mullan added another RBI single in the next inning, with Chris Klein and Alex Luhowy each chipping in 2-run singles in the final rally.
Gary Gaskin pitched a complete game 1-hitter in the 6 innings of play, striking out 10.
