On a dark, wet, cold and dreary night in Harlem at 128th Street, the Shasky bats and Pines’ poised pitching brought warmth to Shasky hearts and smiles of sunshine to our their victorious faces, as a young and fiesty Red Sox team continues to deal with some growing pains. A 10-0 zipping of the Sox was just what the doctor ordered for the Shaskys after last week’s drubbing. Pines K’d 9 and lost his no-hit bid when defensive whiz, Coach, came in and botched a throw from Crash after he charged and fielded a dribbler up the third base line. The Official Scorer ruled it a hit, staving off humiliation for the beleaguered Shasky skipper… Fish was frozen, Chuck stayed red-hot and Flip pulled a calf AND pinched a nerve, all while the battle-scarred Serious returned to the lineup with his stitched brow menacing all that got in his way.
