Brian Schilling (5.2IP) & Gary Dalton (2.1IP) combined to shut down the powerful first place Medford Mad Dogs at Playstead Park in 8 innings. Joe Orlando & John White led the hit parade with 2 each. White knocked in the tying run and Orlando scored the winning run on Jack Owens' single in the 8th.

19yo, Gary Dalton has been solid all summer. He won the game (his 4th) by holding Medford down in the last two innings. Gary has been a smart/hearty pitcher all year. He showed great guts this afternoon!

Marty Whitmore shut the McKay Club Bulldogs down, striking out 8, and letting up 2 late runs. Duffy started things off with an RBI triple in the first, and the Dodgers never looked back. Jay Shatto went 3-4, with a run, a stolen base, and an RBI. The Dodgers welcomed back Keith Vera after a painful elbow injury had kept him sidelined for over 5 weeks, where V went 2-3, scored twice, and had an RBI. Gregg Smith also added a base hit as well.

Rookie Pitcher - Gary Dalton showed great leadership as he garnered his 3rd YBL victory. McKay Club bats that have been flat most of the '05 season have come to life. 11 runs on 11 hits - where has that been all summer?

Josh Krieger pitched his first YBL win after 2 relief appearances on Tuesday. The Needham native out of Milton Academy & Cornell U is an impressive late season pick up. Josh McDonnell led the 15 hit parade with 3 hits (2 doubles) Josh scored 4 times. Steve Van Reenen, Jack Owens, Brendan McCann & Joe Orlando also pitched in with 2 hits each.

Mike McCarthy continued his winnings ways and making a bid for that Cy Young award. He allowed 1R in 7 innings of work, striking out 10 batters and walking 1. McCarthy is 6-0-3 on the year. AJ Bucciarelli was 2-4 with 1R and 1 RBI to help lead the offense. It was Gary Moran's leadoff single in the 2nd, and Bucciarelli's single to score him that gave the Rockies the 2 runs they would need on the day.

Schilling took the loss for McKay Club. Duggan was a perfect 3-3 at the plate.

Lead by the strong pitching of Steve Szathmary. Somerville up ended a gutsy McKay Club 3-2. Pagel throw a fine game for the McKay Club.
Offense was early by Alibrandis, scoring 3 in the 1st inning started by a blast to lead the game off by Kevin White(2).....Dave Scioli went 3 for 3 with a run scored and a SB.
J. White went 2 for 3 with an RBI for the McKay Club.

McKay Club prevailed in the mad-cap rivalry with Savin Hill on Friday night. The Bull Dogs commited 7 errors and the Hornets were stung by 6. John Pagel survived and allowed only 3 hits to help his hapless team win its 10th game after losing 8 in a row. The game was halted in the bottom of the 6th due to the convulsive thunderstorm that buried Boston in 3 inches of rain. MERCY - there is a God!

The A's broke open a 2-2 game with 9 runs in the 5th inning and went on to an 11-3 victory over the McKay Club.

Greg Lovely led the offense with 4 hits, while Aidan Powers and Jim Schindler chipped in with 2 hits each. Brian Powers added a bases-clearing double.

Aidan Powers tossed 5 innings to pick up the win, followed by Pat Dolbeare and Brian Powers.

Tim White ripped 3 hits for the McKay Club, and Ben Duggan and Chris Deane each had 2.

Kyle Philson had 2 triples, and Gary Moran had 1 triple to help the Rockies defeat the McKay Club. A 6 run second inning was all that was need to help Sean Magee picked up his second win of the season. He pitching 5 innings of shutout baseball, allowing just 1 hit. Mike Close, Neal Roper, Gary Moran, Kyle Philson all had multi-hit performances.

Brian Schilling of McKay Club and Chris Demers of the Bluefish picked right up where John White and Dan Lambrecht left off 2 nights earlier. After a leadoff walk to Jeremy Creveling and a sacrifice bunt, Sean Glavin's 2 out single scored Creveling to give the Bluefish a 1-0 lead in the first. That was it for the score for a long time, as Schilling and Demers matched zeroes until the top of the 6th, with 2 outs, Chris Santosuosso's 2 run single off the glove of John Pagel scoring Ryan McCrann and pinch runner Mike Escolas to give the Bluefish the 3-0 lead. Sean Glavin had 3 hits for the Bluefish in victory. Brian Schilling threw well all night. His final line, 7 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 2 SO. Chris Demers was just a little bit better, going 7 innings giving up 7 hits, 0 runs, while walking 1 and striking out 8. Joe Orlando led the McKay Club with 2 hits.

The Bluefish and Bulldogs matched up in a good pitcher's duel between Hyde Park's Dan Lambrecht and McKay Club's John White. Scoreless going into the bottom of the 7th, catcher Dan Sweeney's 2 out single scored Chris Santosuosso from 3rd and lifting the Bluefish to a 1-0 win at Hyde Park's Ross Park. Santosuosso paced the Bluefish offense with a 3-3 night. Dan Lambrecht was solid on the mound for the Bluefish, going 7 innings giving up 5 hits, 0 runs, while walking 1 and striking out 4. John White matched Lambrecht with zeroes on the scoreboard for most of the night, going 6 2-3 innings, giving up 9 hits, 1 run, while walking 3 and striking out 2. Omar Kennedy added 2 hits for the Bluefish, while 5 different Bulldogs had one hit a piece.
