Facing elimination from the play-offs, and playing with only 8 men, the Holmwood Graysox staged a dramatic comeback to beat the Grays 6-5. Trailing 5-3 with 2 outs in the 7th, Glenn Humphrey tripled with the bases loaded to put the Graysox ahead 6-5. Earlier, Chuck Olson hit a 2 run homer to tie the game. Kevin Locke went the distance for the win. Guenthner also homered for the Grays, and Winant pitched well in the loss.

Brian Cassidy came in relief to put out the fire in the first inning and pitched 6 innings of 3 hit ball the rest of the way. Stu Panasuk knocked in the GW RBI in the 6th inning and the Jays never looked back. The offense was led by Paul Driscoll and Kevin Senna who chipped in with 2 hits and 2 RBI each. Greg Phieffer also contributed with 3 hits.
