Marco Vittozzi was 2-4 with a HR and 2 runs scored. The Blue Jays, led by Pat Donovan, played a great series which spanned two weeks because of 9 consecutive days of rain. |

Sox fight back to tie series on the strong pitching of Dave Garofano and the Jays lack of night vision goggles. Russ Ward knocked in two runs and Mark Moise and Garafano both hit long doubles. Mike Connelly was 3-3 with a long double for the Jays. |

Russ Ward and Mike Connelly lock up in a classic pitchers duel until the 5th inning when the Metro Red Sox come up with 4 runs highlighted by Ellis's bases clearing double.
In the bottom of the 5th Mike Williams cuts into the Sox lead with a 2 run triple to pull the Jays within 1 run.
In the 6th inning with 2 men on Mike Williams comes through again in the clutch with a monster 3 run homer to win the game. Mike Williams finishes the game with 2 hits and 5 rbi.
The two teams will go at it again Weds night at Breed Jr. High in Lynn.

The Grays received some timely hitting to squeek by the Sox. Once again Ken Thaxter proved that he is best Grays bunter and Don Lawrence came up with a key game winning two RBI single in the 7th inning. Also worthy of note is the clutch pitching by Barry Kruse to close out the game. |
