Fresh off their Jim Holmwood Memorial game in Cooperstown, the Gray Sox bats came alive and pounded out 17 hits for a 14-0 win over Quincy. The attack was led by Rick Alcorn 3-4 rbi, Kevin Locke 3-4 3 rbis, Bill Twomey 2-4 1 rbi, and Dave Tompkins 2-3 with 3 rbis. Jim Mahoney was 2-4 with 2 rbis. Kevin Locke pitched a 2 hit shutout, striking out 9 for the win. Quincy showed alot of character for playing hard in a tough season for them in their first year.
