Facing elimination and down 8-4 in 7th, Gray Sox stage a furious comeback and score 5 runs to win 9-8. Dave Tomkins grounded a single to left to score the winning run with 2 outs. Sox hitters were patient all night as they walked 12 times. Big hits in 7th by Mahoney, Verecker, Twomey, and Locke. For Duxbury, Earlz was pitching on 2 days rest and had the heater working as he battled all night. Tony Catalano kept it within reach as he came in to relieve Kevin Moore in the 2nd, who was pitching well before leaving with back spasms.

The Duxbury Twins scored 2 runs in the top of the 11th inning to defeat the Brockton A's 4-2. Dave Joseph pitched all 11 innings for Brockton while Hubbard and Earle pitched for Duxbury. Tony LaGreca's bases loaded bunt led to 2 runs for Duxbury in the 11th inning.

The Holmwood bats came alive and pounded out 14 hits, to beat the previously unbeaten Duxbury Twins. The Gray Sox were led by Kevin Locke who was 4-4 with 4 rbis, Rick Alcorn 3-4 2 rbis, and Jimmy King and Dave Tompkins who had 2 hits each. Larry Verecker also had a big hit driving in 2. Kevin Locke went 5 innings allowing 1 hit to pick up the win. As usual, the mosquitos were vicious.
