What more can be said about All Star Jeff James? The Cards needed his arm on All Star eve and he puts team first and threw a complete game 4 hit shutout, walking none and striking out 10.

It was a pitcher's duel between James and the battery of Mike Pelletier and Matt Abbott as both teams' pitchers threw up bagels until the 6th when the Cards touched Abbott for 3 runs on a Chris Caprio sac fly and error and an RBI single by Vincent Paquette.

Offensively, the Cards were led once again by Vincent Paquette (2-3, 2B, 1RBI), whose double was hit so hard that the ball had hair on it!
