Middlesex Expos 6, Malden Maddogs 5
After trading 1 run a piece in the first inning, Malden would break it open with 4 runs in the top of the 2nd, capped off by a 3run double by Hatch.
Expos would chip away with a 2run double from veteran Jose Paulino in the 3rd inning.
Expos newcomer Relfin Jiminez would settle in on the mound and throw 3 straight zeros from the 3rd through the 5th, and in the bottom of 6th jiminez would into some issue. Brayan Garre would relieve Jiminez in the top of the 6th to get out of a 2 out bases loaded jam to keep the score 5-3.
In the bottom of the 6th newcomer Eduardo Soto would blast a long solo shot to bring the score to 5-4.
Down 5-4 in the 7th, a cloutier walk, followed by a beautiful sac bunt that was so good ended up an infield single by brune, and a walk by paulino would load the bases for Soto who delivered a walk off 2run double. |
