Milton Breakers 17, Weymouth Black Sox 5
The Milton Breakers started their 2024 campaign with an impressive 17-5 win versus the Weymouth Black Sox, while pounding out 18 hits. Ogui Diaz and Brian Laneau led the Breakers offensively with 3 hits each. Newcomers Adjatay Nyadjroh and Lenyn Soto Soto both added two hits to introduce themselves to the league in a major way. Soto Soto also pitched 2 shutout innings with 2 Ks on the night. Brain Tanguy and Jim Pierce led the team with 3 RBIs each, while Tanguy also threw 2 innings, striking out 4.
This was the night of nights for the Breakers and not because it was Opening Night...but because Billy Traft made his triumphant return from the worst hamstring injury known to an athlete, a simple pulled muscle that kept him out of action for 9 months, which included the playoffs. Traft was 1-for-3 with a K. |
